Hi Everyone,
Apologies for the radio silence from me. I’ve been hunkering down over winter, and not much to say or report on the yoga front. However. Spring is now here and I’ve also got a renewed spring in my step (or jump forward - see picture!)
I’m teaching a one off session at MindAid which will be on Good Friday and is free.
I’ve got some new classes coming up in March/April/May and June see below as well as my usual offerings. Cat House Yoga on Friday’s 10am and if you fancy something a little spicy, head on over to HotPod Yoga where I teach on a Tuesday at 5.30pm.
The Rocket returns
It’s back! some more sessions at Happy Om for you to book. If you’ve never tried a class with me, your first one is FREE! Ping me a message and I’ll send you a code to book it.
What is the Rocket?
Larry Shultz developed the Rocket in order to make the more challenging poses of the Ashtanga Series' accessible to all levels. The Rocket Yoga sequences encourage a fun, playful, yet strong and invigorating yoga practice. In all, The Rocket gets you to a place of strength, flexibility and stamina more quickly, teaching you the art of modification and how to link breath, bandhas and movement to create flight.
We add some Restorative poses at the end to help balance the nervous system. It’s the perfect compliment to a dynamic practice.

Private/Semi Privates
Why book a One-to-One/Private yoga session with me?
I’ve been teaching yoga for 23 years. In that time I’ve taught gym classes, in yoga studios, on retreats, and even, more recently, in a cat cafe! These are all wonderful ways to share the practice and as a teacher, there’s nothing like the energy of a group to lift me up when my stamina is flagging. But, group classes aren’t for everyone and sometimes they aren’t for me either! Too many people to give my attention to, sometimes more complex needs that can’t be adequately managed in a general class setting, or not enough time to explore a particular pose or concept. This is why private yoga classes can be so beneficial, both for the student and the teacher.
Spotlight on you
You get all of me. I can truly be present with you and allow your needs to guide the session. In our session together I can find out more about what makes you tick and construct sequences that work for you whatever your goals are.
Tailored to you.
Unlike a group class which has to cater to many different abilities, ages and preferences, a 1-1 session is really built for a customised yoga practice. Using all of the props at my home studio, I can modify and alter poses to match your mood, fitness level, and physical limitations on the day.
Spotlight on Alignment
I try to see and correct everyone in a class, but sometimes due to numbers, it’s not always possible. In a private session I can really go through the alignment of a pose, explain it, and offer options for you to work with your own anatomical structure. I can also film you and we can look at a particular pose or sequence over time, breaking down transitions and refining your understanding.
Deeper connection.
Working together as a student and teacher in this way creates a profound connection. I offer you all my years of experience through the teachings I have received and in a quieter and more focussed environment I am able to share these freely. Whether its a guided meditation or understanding how pranayama works, we can do this in an unhurried way. Yoga traditionally was taught 1-1 to ensure the individual had the tools and time to process the teachings.
Progression
Unlike a class, there’s no rush and we can take things totally at your pace. You are not in competition with anyone else nor do you need to keep up with a class rhythm. We can stop and discuss things at any time.
So whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, I welcome you into my sun-filled studio in central Norwich either for a one-to-one private session or in a pair. I offer individual sessions for Restorative yoga, and Rocket, Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Vinyasa for duo classes. I specialise in working with people with hypermobility and also have experience of teaching yoga to people recovering from chronic illnesses such as ME/Chronic Fatigue.
I also offer Thai Yoga Massage, so why not add that to your session? (as I am still training I only ask for a donation for this service).
Special offer for March book 4 private sessions and the cost drops to £50 per session (£200 for the block)… Offer expires 29th March
I love yoga with Abby. A friend and I started private classes and right from the off we knew we’d be regulars. Abby makes us feel so comfortable and supported, she listens to what we need and encourages us to challenge ourseslves. Each session I come away on a high, feeling positive about my body can do and calm after letting it rest during some restorative practice. It’s honestly the best thing I do for myself.
